Aldel College of Pharmacy and Research, Palghar, celebrated National Sports Day on 29 August 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand AKA Hockey wizard, one of India’s greatest hockey players. The day is observed to recognize the contribution of sportspersons and to promote the importance of sports, physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation.
